So, I read the NYT article and I'll be the first to admit, I fell into the category of people that assumed heavy weight, low reps are for bulk and low weight with high reps are for toning. Seeing that I consider myself a runner, the last thing I want to do is be carrying more weight, especially upper-body weight. So, I always shied away from "maxing out" or hitting PRs during exercises such as squats and bench press. Maybe that's why I'm such a weakling. :)
But the article was informative. I'd be interested in reading similar articles and publications that agree with this concept. It's not that I disagree; I would definitely enjoy reading more about it. I think that is why I am confident in my CF training. I was hesitant at first, because I was afraid of all the muscle I would put on, but considering the WOs we do, I am seeing gains in my running after only 2-3 weeks of CF. Those kinds of results make me happy.
I will say though, at the end of January, I was weighing in at 170 lbs. Currently, I weight between 179-181 on any given day. Can't imagine that's all muscle, but my diet has changed dramatically since starting CF, so who knows.
Anyways, keep posting quality articles. Always enjoy filling my mind with good info, especially regarding health and fitness.
See you all tonight...

I will be honest, I don't like dbl unders because I ENJOY jumping rope and I was always good at it in the singular fashion. But I will continue to try the others, even though I am not a huge fan
